Hi, all. A new mixer is on order. Whether it’ll get to me before I record the next episode, I still don’t know. It’s one of the Behringer “UB-series” mixers, the UB1202. I used to use one of these when I developed embedded software for electronic synths and such, the UB802. These cost-effective, low-noise mixers get as tiny as the UB502, which only has one mic input.

Anyhow, this mixer should improve the sound quality noticably. Much of the sound of Niagra Falls you hear behind my voice is caused by the crappy mic preamp on my sound card. And I also expect the timbre of my voice to improve. (I’m already using a good mic.)
